Monotype Imaging's Steve Matteson designed this font collection for use in the Android™ platform. The Droid Sans, Droid Serif and Droid Mono fonts were created for use in mobile phones. Wired.com reported that "The early consensus is that designers are ga-ga over Droid" and Gizmodo said the "System Fonts for Android Look Clean and Google-y".
