Users can select a font to be used in their phone’s user
interface through the FlipFont application
|
Monotype Imaging’s FlipFont™ application and suite of fonts work with
supported phones to allow users to personalize and enhance their
phones, making them more appealing and fun to use. Users are able to select a
font for use in their device’s user interface. Through the FlipFont
application, users can easily connect to an online selection of fonts, choose
the typeface, purchase the font and safely download and install it to their
mobile phone. The FlipFont application also lets users browse fonts currently
installed on their phone and select a typeface from the list to be used by the
phone.
Prior to FlipFont, mobile phone users had few options for customizing the fonts
on their mobile phone, short of complex and dangerous and often illegal hacks
and system modifications that ran the risk of damaging the phone.
Monotype Imaging has released a variety of specially engineered fonts available
for license through the FlipFont.mobi Web site. Fonts were chosen for their
high levels of display quality and ability to express themes in an appealing,
engaging way. Monotype Imaging will continue to expand the range of “FlipFonts”
available for download.
FlipFont can be used on select Nokia® and Samsung® devices. Click here
for a complete list of supported devices. Anyone using a supported device can
download the FlipFont application by visiting FlipFont.mobi. The application is
also accessible to Vodafone UK subscribers via the Vodafone Live! multimedia portal and
to 3 UK subscribers through the 3 mobile homepage.
