Times Classic was borne out of necessity...and if you look at most newspaper changes...it was designed for a specific production need, nothing to do with aesthetics. I spent a lot of time and research between 2000 and 20002 getting to know about paper weight, inks, colour deposits and machine speeds, that would still end producing smudgy little letters being jarred in front of your eyes on the train or bus in the morning ride to work.
